Carl "Eppu" Åberg, Team Leader

While I'm indeed studying mainly marketing, I have found my calling in volunteer work and team leading at school. After spending my second year as a tutor I saw many things wrong in ways as which things were done and wanted to chance them (pretty successfully so far). Now for the past year I have worked as tutor representative leading an amazing group of 23 tutors. I have also worked closely with TRADE ry, doing various things like planning events, providing content for social media and representing school and TRADE at various events, like annual celebrations and at visiting days for high schoolers.
My lifegoal is to leave my mark in something I consider important and do things the way I see fit. To achieve this I'm aiming to be a member of student union council (election ends in few days so fingers crossed) and vice-chairman of TRADE (election in a week so umm toes crossed also). I feel that I have already made a dent by making this years students start a memorable and fun experience! I have also started my own little "crusade" by trying to make marketing a more attractive and sociable choice for new students.
My job experience consists of various odd jobs that never offered me the exitement and drive I searched. For example I have worked as a bartender, cook, telemarketer, gardener and a mailman.
As a team leader I have always been a "hands-on leader" meaning that I like to be a part of the team and engage in the activities with them. By beign "one fo the guys" other team members can more freely offer their ideas and observations, which are often even better than my own. I also think that listening and giving feedback has really helped me and groups that I have led to evolve for better!
