Mikael "The new guy" Moussa

Hi!

My name is Mikael Moussa, a new addition to the group! I am a 3rd year chemical engineering student majoring in biotechnology.

One of the most fascinating things about chemistry is that you get an understanding about everything that surrounds you and what makes you, you. The smallest unit of life, the cell, is an engineering masterpiece in itself! This is one of the reasons why I fell in love with the field and the fact that I could actually improve the quality of life is empowering.

My career in the field of chemistry started in 2013 in the laboratory technology program in Turku Vocational Institute. After graduating as a laboratory technician, I decided to do my bachelor´s degree in TUAS because I believe the degree unlocks more doors in the work field and gives a better opportunity for networking. Furthermore, with a higher education I hope to contribute more on improving human health and the society. During my career I have been working as a laboratory technician in quality control for different companies e.g. Pernod-Ricard and Neste.

From my previous project experiences as a team leader and as a group member, I have learned to know the importance of communication and team work. With this Capstone project I am looking forward to creating something exciting and beneficial for both parties. Together we create clarity and energy!

When I am not studying or working I really enjoy walking and hiking in nature. One of my dreams is to do the King´s Trail in the north of Sweden or one of the routes of El Camino de Santiago.
